Meet the Real Rockstar Cherry - Carter

Every great story has an inspiration.  Ours believes dancing is always the right answer and tries to convince an entire community that his name is Rockstar Cherry.

Meet Carter.

If you've ever crossed paths with Carter, chances are you might have - even if only for thirty seconds. He has a gift for making strangers into friends. Whether he's at school, a game, the store, or walking through a park, he introduces himself to everyone.  It's not unusual for people to stop us and say "Hey Carter!" or "Hey that's Carter!" because once you've met Carter, you don't forget him.

When his brother and uncle perform with their band, Carter proudly takes the stage with his own unplugged guitar. Rockstar Cherry is born.  The crowd smiles, and somehow, they become part of his story too.

Carter is the heart behind Rockstar Cherry Tees.

He loves music with his whole soul. He loves Miracle League baseball, Special Olympics, Buddy Up Tennis, superheroes, dancing, school, dressing up in costumes, his friends and yes.....pickles. (We don't question it- we just keep the refrigerator stocked!)

His journey hasn't always been easy. Carter has faced more medical challenges than most people will ever know, and he continues to live with health issues every day. Yet if you ask him how he's feeling, chances are he'll flash his signature smile and tell you "I'm better now." His resilience is quiet, his courage is constant, and his joy is contagious.

He has an incredible ability to light up every room he enters. His laughter is infectious, his hugs are amazing and his kindness reminds us daily that the simplest moments are often the most meaningful and small milestones are accomplishments to be celebrated.

Now...let's be honest. Carter isn't perfect.

He also has a legendary stubborn streak. Once his mind is set, moving a mountain might be easier. But somehow, even that determination has taught us that being yourself is a pretty amazing superpower. He is an amazing self-advocate.

Rockstar Cherry Tees was created to celebrate people like Carter and the beautiful truth that every person has something extraordinary to offer the world. We believe inclusion is more than making room for everyone, it's celebrating what makes each person unique. Every design is inspired by joy, kindness, music and the belief that everyone deserves to be seen , valued and celebrated.

Carter reminds us everyday that being a rockstar has nothing to do with being famous. It's about making people smile, spreading kindness, loving loudly, and showing up exactly as you are. That's the world we want to create- one t-shirt at a time.

It is our plan to support education of doctors giving Down Syndrome diagnosis, truly inclusive and accessible playgrounds, research for Alzheimer syndrome particularly in people with Down Syndrome, ALS, Rett Syndrome, childhood cancer, music education and causes close to our hearts.
